Mr. Butler is responsible for Master Data Management (MDM) Product Marketing at Oracle. He is an Oracle MDM expert and the author of several whitepapers on the subject. He was also responsible for eBusiness Suite application re-designs to take advantage of Oracle’s customer model – the Trading Community Architecture (TCA).
David joined Oracle Database development in 1996 as the Sr. Director responsible for Oracle Parallel Server where he led the effort to drive Cache Fusion technology into the database, leading to today’s Real Applications Clusters (RAC).
Prior to joining Oracle, he spent 14 years with Teradata where he led the Unix Version (V2) development program. He has 30 years of operating system, database, data warehousing and applications development experience.
Mr. Butler earned his Masters degree in Mathematics from Oxford University studying the Mathematical Foundations for Quantum Mechanics.
